- Modulation is the process of varying one or more properties of a periodic waveform.
- The properties of the carrier signal is changed with a modulating signal.
- The aim of modulation is to transfer digital signal or analog signal which transmits message conveyed inside another signal.
- There are mainly two types of modulations. Amplitude modulation and frequency modulation.
1.Amplitude Modulation (AM):-
- Amplitude modulation is changing the amplitude of the carrier wave with the help of modulating wave.
2.Frequency Modulation(FM):-
- Frequency of a wave is number of cycles per unit time.
