- Any system of persons or things ranked above another is called hierarchy system.
- In visual design eyes first see which objects are focused by size, color and font used.
- For example in a magazine or a book headings are bold large in size to focus the heading first and then text is small and normal which follows hierarchy.
Why Hierarchy?
- Every typographic layout needs a hierarchy. It helps reader how to read the content. It helps in where to start and where to read through. It differentiates the content from the header.
- In web pages we use different buttons to get the data easily by the user as shown below.
