ADSL Ethernet Modem:
- Make all the connection and switch ON the modem.
- Enter the IP address given with the modem (default 192.168.1.1). Press Enter.
- Log in by using username and password.
- Configure the following for connection:
- Type-set the connection type to PPPoA.
- Name-Type in the name for the connection.
- Encapsulation-set the encapsulation as recommended by ISP.
- Username- Type the ISP login username.
- Password- Type the login password.
- VPI- set to ISP recommended settings.
- VCI- set to ISP recommended settings.
- Set remaining all to default.
- Click on Apply when done.
- Click on the status tab at the top and then click on the Connection Status. The connection information can be seen in the WAN section of the page.
- Once connected machine will get the IP address from ISP.
- Click on the Tools. Click the system commands. Click Save All to save the changes permanently.
